'Where is it Now?' Number 3

The 3rd of our 'Where is it Now?' objects, again from the photograph albums in the Phillips of Hitchin archives at the Brotherton Library Special Collections, is this chair.

'Pair of Chip. Chairs...RARE'. Photograph c.1900. Phillips of Hitchin archive (MS1999/4/1/70). The Brotherton Library Special Collections. Photograph courtesy of the BLSC 2016.

The archive information described the chair as 'Pair of Chipp Chairs...RARE' - suggesting that it was of the 'Chippendale' (i.e. 18th century) period.  It is certainly 18th century, and probably Chinese - so very interesting (at present!).

If you know where this chair, and it's pair? is at present do let us know.
