The workshop will focus on the historical and contemporary issues centered on the role of the art market and museums in the restitution of cultural objects. The workshop theme will be focused upon an expanded historical view of restitution of cultural property and the evolving market, taking into account cultural objects that have been acquired through conflict, looting, theft as well as a result of the historical legacies of Empire and Colonialism.
